About Evander
"When you strip back Evander you realise that underneath is a real sense of belonging and a desire to look after our colleagues and customers."
The Evander journey began in 1973 trading as Highway Windscreens, the first national windscreen company in the UK, and moved into domestic emergency glazing fourteen years later. Between the years of 1987 and 2001 other products and services were added to the mix. Then in 2002 the company was acquired by South Staffordshire Group plc and rebranded as Homeserve Emergency Services Ltd three years later. Following a Management Buy Out in 2009 Evander was formed and subsequently acquired by the VPS Group in 2016.
In the words of our Managing Director, Paul Lewis “Our colleagues and our customers are at the heart of our business and our commitment to them has been, and continues to be, pivotal to the success and growth of Evander.”
We believe that where you live and work should always be safe, secure and sustainable.
To love our customers, create a great place to work and to grow our business
Maddison Deeley-Nobbs
Account Manager - Insurance
I manage a portfolio of insurance clients, maintaining regular client contact sharing insight and news surrounding the Evander Business. I act as a single point of contact should clients require support, liaising with internal staff members to provide relevant detail. I attend regular Client reviews which capture service level performance, identify risk and explore opportunity. Working at Evander is like working with your extended family. A busy environment with lots to do, but lots of smiles along the way!
Philip Browning, Operations Manager South-East
I manage a team of Service Engineers, coaching, training and providing support both on and off site. Day-to-day tasks include ensuring all audits are carried out effectively and our distribution centre is health and safety compliant, completing wages, arranging the servicing of fleet, and proactively looking ahead at jobs providing solutions to prevent any potential issues before they arise. I’m also a ‘Mental Health First Aider’ so am always at the end of the phone for any distressed colleague. I enjoy working for Evander as I’m part of a great team in the East, with almost a family like feel. It can be extremely busy at times but being part of a good team, means there is always someone to help or lean on if needed and I have never felt alone during my time at Evander.
Jane Duckett, First Contact Advisor
My role as part of the First Contact team is to log new instructions and contact the policy holder to take their details and respond to their needs. We also liaise with insurers and engineers to provide a seamless and first-class service, setting the tone for the experience with Evander. I have worked for Evander for just over 2 years. I love the positive, lively atmosphere and how Evander really care about their staff, supporting them not just professionally but personally too.
